Acrylic Paintings

Paintings are on stretched prepared canvases with acrylic paint. Acrylic not oil paint is used, because oil dries too slowly. Paint is applied in thin or thick layers depending upon the texture desired. My subject matter has been people, then animals, and finally just recently I discovered seascapes weren't as impossible as I believed.

A friend always wanted a painting from a snapshot taken on a cruise she took up the Amazon river. This view shows the cruise ship waiting in the mouth of the Amazon River. It shows the color of the river mixing with the ocean.
